Stacie Waites
Assistant Professor
Stacie F. Waites is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she teaches undergraduate Marketing Strategy and MBA Marketing. Before pursuing a career in academia, she worked as an accountant for Georgia-Pacific and later as a financial analyst for LexisNexis. Dr. Waites’ research examines consumer well-being with a focus on charitable giving, sustainability, and authenticity in the marketplace. Her work explores topics such as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) communication, donation behavior, and the emotional underpinnings of consumer well-being. She has published in outlets such as the Journal of Marketing Research, International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Consumer Marketing, and Journal of Consumer Affairs, among others.
