Kgosietsile Velempini

Assistant Professor

Dr. Kgosietsile (Kgosi) Velempini is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Dr. Velempini is a native of Botswana in southern Africa region. He taught at Botho University and University of Botswana for one (1) year and Six (6) years, respectively. He has published in various international journals, including book chapters and official reports.

Professional Service

Dr. Velempini is an editorial board member for the Springer journal of Socio - Ecological Practice Research; Springer journal reviewer for Environment, Development, Sustainability; and International Journal of Educational Studies (Mosenodi). He is the national coordinator for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Botswana. Dr Velempini is a member of the Graduate Application Review Committee, and Committee for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington.
