Olga Trokhimenko
Professor
At UNCW, I teach all levels of German language, literature, and culture; however, my area of specialization and research is in medieval German Studies and literary folklore/proverb studies. I did my undergraduate education in Teaching English as a Second Language and Teaching German as the Second Language at Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University in my home country, Ukraine, followed by an MA degree in German at the University of Vermont and a PhD at Duke University. I serve as the German Section and the German Minor Coordinator at the Department of World Languages and Cultures. If you are interested in minoring or majoring/double-majoring in German at UNCW, let me know! It is easier than you might think!
