Daysja M Terry

Lecturer

Daysja Terry, MSW, LCAS joined the CHHS School of Social Work as a full-time lecturer in fall 2024. A proud alumna, she graduated from UNCW with a Bachelor of Psychology before returning for her Master of Social Work. Her professional experience spans both micro and macro social work, with a focus on substance use prevention and treatment. She has worked to build and energize coalitions, move impactful legislation, and lead teams of clinical social workers dedicated to client care and systemic change. In addition to her social work practice, Daysja is a published author. In 2017, she and her partner co-authored Words That Hit Home, a compelling account of the lives of unhoused individuals along the East Coast.
