Kassandra J. Stoffer
Clinical Instructor
Kassandra Stoffer graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004 and started her nursing career as an RN in the Duke Intensive Care Nursery. She later worked in the Duke Emergency Department, which highlighted the importance of primary care and led her to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree at Duke University. She began working as a family nurse practitioner in 2009 and has worked in diverse settings such as a Federally Qualified Health Center, large health systems, migrant farmworker outreach, and a private clinic. She continues to work part-time as a family nurse practitioner in a school-based health clinic. Working as a preceptor for nursing students inspired Kassandra to pursue a teaching career at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2020, where she has enjoyed helping students grow in knowledge and experience. She is currently pursuing her post-APRN Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at East Carolina University.
