Jamie C. Stalfort
Lecturer
Jamie Stalfort is a full-time Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she combines her passion for innovation, small business development, and experiential learning to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs. Since joining UNCW in 2023, she has focused on bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world application, preparing students to launch and grow ventures that create meaningful community impact.
Before transitioning into academia, Jamie served as a Business Launch Specialist with the North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC), where she guided entrepreneurs through the startup process—from feasibility analysis to financial modeling and market validation. Her experience helped hundreds of local founders transform ideas into viable enterprises, strengthening the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Jamie’s professional background also includes roles in marketing and recruitment with Aruza Marketing, KWIPPED.com, and IronGate Partners, where she developed a strong foundation in branding, business development, finance, and client relations.
She holds both a Master of Science in Business Analytics and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from UNCW. In addition, she is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) and an Ice House Facilitator, equipping her to teach entrepreneurial mindsets and evidence-based business practices. She is also the advisor of the Entrepreneurship Club, a passionate music fan, and an animal lover.
Jamie believes education can be fun, and strives to ensure her students learn real-world skills that can be applied to any career.
