Yang Song
Associate Professor
Always drawn to the ocean, Dr. Yang Song found UNCW to be a natural fit after completing their Ph.D. at NC State under Dr. Edward Gehringer. Their research centers on data science, data mining, and deep learning, with a particular passion for applying machine learning and data mining to oceanography. Their work aims to improve forecasting methods while also addressing the unique machine learning challenges that arise in human learning and social science.
