Justin Smith

Justin (he/him/his) serves as the Campus Life Business Operations Coordinator where he helps ensure sound departmental financial practices in line with university and state policies. He handles fiscal operations, budgets, and accounting for the department, registered student organizations, and the Student Government Association, including the SGA appropriations process. Justin administers the 250+ on-campus bank accounts for student organizations, ensures that student purchasing and travel is processed correctly within university policies, processes departmental online credit card sales, and manages the purchasing card program for the department. He advises the Student Government Treasurer and serves as a resource for the entire SGA board on financial related matters. Justin has been in Campus Life since 2021 and has worked at the university since 2014. Before joining the Campus Life team, Justin worked in Facilities, handling over $1 billion in procurement and contracting for new construction and renovation projects. Outside of Campus Life, he is the official scorer for UNCW men’s basketball. He also serves as treasurer for three non-profit organizations in the Wilmington area and is a classical musician, playing the pipe organ and conducting choirs.
