Alana Seaman

Associate Professor

Dr. Alana Seaman has been with UNCW's Tourism, Recreation, and Sport program since 2016. Prior to her work in academia, Dr. Seaman was a ski instructor at Diamond Peak and later managed luxury vacation homes for the "rich and famous" in Lake Tahoe for almost a decade. She was also a college athlete having competed in both Cross Country and Tennis while pursuing her undergraduate education. Dr. Seaman remains an avid runner and outdoor adventure sport enthusiast. She also enjoys good food and craft beverages, live music, fly-fishing, travel, college football, time with her husband and rescue dogs, and luxury hotel stays.
