Mayra I. Robles
Coordinator, Centro Hispano
Mayra (she/her/hers) is a dedicated professional with a strong focus on student success and community engagement. She currently serves as the Center Coordinator of Centro Hispano within the Multicultural Student Success and Resource Centers unit of the Campus Life department at UNCW. A two-time alumna, Mayra earned her undergraduate degree in 2018 and her graduate degree in 2023 from UNCW. In her role, Mayra oversees 15 undergraduate student workers and one graduate assistant intern, coordinating nearly 40 student programming events each semester. These events encompass social activities, professional development, community engagement, and wellness, all aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and personal growth among students. Mayra collaborates closely with student organizations, university departments, and community members to create impactful programming. She provides leadership and mentorship to students, guiding them in career exploration, internship opportunities, identity development, and personal growth. Her passion for student success is evident in her commitment to building a supportive environment where students thrive academically, socially, and personally. Through her work, Mayra continues to contribute significantly to the UNCW community by promoting wellness, belonging, and professional development.
