Diane S. Reed

Student Success Advisor

Diane Sledden Reed joined the CHHS Student Success Center as a Student Success Advisor in November 2023. She advises a caseload of main campus undergraduates in Clinical Research, Exercise Science, Public Health, and Recreation Therapy. Diane has also been trained as a Pre-Health Coach and assists students interested in attending PA, PT, OT or AT graduate programs. Prior to this role, she dedicated 20 years to the Career Center at UNCW, where she offered career coaching to students across campus and served as a liaison to several programs including the Watson College of Education. Diane actively participated in campus initiatives such as sustainability, Move-In, and Taking Flight (a senior capstone program), and has been teaching UNI 101 since 2011 and loves staying connected to students and helping them get a successful start at UNCW. Her most recent position before returning to UNCW was as a Virtual Academy Coordinator for New Hanover County Schools, where she oversaw the county's e-Academy program.
