Alye M Prentice
Academic Advisor
Alye brings nearly a decade of collegiate experience to her Academic Advising role within the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) Academic Resource Center (ARC). The focal point of her career has been helping students discover and develop their voice through community-centered learning, where the humanities are a tool for real-world impact. Before joining UNCW, she advised undergraduate students, supported Early College and First-Year programming, and taught composition, literature, and creative writing courses. With this background in the humanities and arts, Alye is excited to empower students to refine their gifts and engage authentically in their learning. Ultimately, Alye wants to support UNCW students in finding joy alongside challenge and acting on their potential, leaving the world better than we found it.
