Gray Peterson

A proud University of North Carolina Wilmington alum, joined CHHS as the Lab and Equipment Coordinator in March 2026. He began his career in event and facility operations at UNCW in 2019 after earning a degree in Communication Studies.

Gray initially served as Facilities and Event Management Coordinator at UNCW before moving to Oklahoma State University, where he managed operations at the Wes Watkins Center. He later returned to UNCW Athletics as Assistant Director of Facilities and Event Management, further expanding his experience in facility oversight and event coordination.

In his current role, Gray manages CHHS lab spaces, ensuring compliance with safety standards while supporting faculty and students in their daily use of lab equipment and facilities. His background in operations and attention to detail help create efficient, safe, and well-maintained environments for teaching and research. He is also pursuing an MBA at UNCW's Cameron School of Business
