Giulia Orvieto

Temporary EPA/Faculty

Giulia Orvieto was born and raised in Verona, Italy. Ms. Orvieto taught German at UNCW during the 2014-2015 academic year, and since the fall of 2015, she has been the instructor of Italian at UNCW.

Specialization in Teaching

Ms. Orvieto has taught Italian 101, 102, and 201 both in person and online.

Professional Service

Since 2018, Ms. Orvieto has supervised more than two dozen Università di Verona students who have studied at UNCW as part of the Exchange between those two universities that she helped establish. These Italian students lead the Italian Conversation Table sessions that are an integral part of Ms. Orvieto's Italian language courses.

Community Engagement

Ms. Orvieto has taught courses at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), which have focused on traveling in Italy and on Italian language and culture.

Honors & Awards

Ms. Orvieto has been nominated multiple semester by graduating seniors for the Faculty and Staff Recognition Award.
