Lindsey W. Nanney

Associate School Director

Dr. Lindsey Nanney joined UNCW as the Wellness and Physical Activity Coordinator in 2015 and served in that role for seven years. She continues to support that program and manage their custom textbook. In 2018 she became the Associate Director for Academic and Student Affairs in the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences and continues to serve in that role. She teaches in the wellness and physical activity, exercise science and honors programs. Before joining UNCW, she served as the Lifetime Physical Activity and Fitness Coordinator at East Carolina University. Lindsey currently sits on the National Consortium for Building Healthy Academic Communities and the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education executive boards. She is a certified Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council on Exercise, a Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine, and a Certified Health and Wellness Coach through Real Balance Global Wellness.
