Stephen Meinhold

Professor

Stephen S. Meinhold is Professor of Political Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. He served as the U.S. Government and Politics chief faculty consultant for the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Program from 2016-2020 and on the committee that introduced the use of foundational documents in the U.S. Government and Politics AP Course. He is the inaugural chair of the American Political Science Association’s Civic Education Committee. Professor Meinhold is the recipient of the UNCW Chancellor’s Teaching Excellence Award, and the J. Marshall Crews Distinguished Faculty Award. Dr. Meinhold is the author of Civics Foundational Documents (with Brian Schoen) and Judicial Process: Law, Courts, and Politics in the United States 7th ed. (with David W. Neubauer).
