Ewa Matyczyk
Assistant Professor
Ewa Matyczyk is Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art History at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She holds a PhD in the History of Art and Architecture from Boston University, and an M.A. in Art History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research interests include issues of memory, identity, public space, and the relationships between public art, the built environment, and the theory and practice of everyday life. Prior to arriving at UNCW, Ewa held a postdoctoral fellowship in the Humanities+Urbanism+Design Initiative at the University of Pennsylvania during 2021-2022. She has taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University, Suffolk University, Northeastern, the Boston Architectural College, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
