Research Interests

My painted paper collages celebrate visual moments in my immediate environment. They suggest a lived-in truth depicted through intimate home spaces.

Drawing plays a huge role in my studio practice. I always draw from life in my sketchbook. Pencil to paper is immediate and honest and endlessly fascinating, representing different facets of a subject based on moment-to-moment changes: as someone moves, light shifts, combinations of objects transform a space. My collages are based on my drawings. I seek to imbue my collages with the same immediacy and energy encapsulated within the drawings.
