Raymonde Kleinberg
Department Chair
Dr. Raymonde (Remy) Kleinberg has a PhD in International and Comparative Politics from the University of Toronto, as well as an LLM in international law from Osgoode Hall Law School. She is Chair and Professor in the Department of Public and International Affairs at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and directs the Minor in International Affairs and the Graduate Program in Conflict Management and Resolution. Dr. Kleinberg has published several articles and books and her fifth book, International Relations Examined: An Interactive Text” Text was published by the National Social Science Association Press in August 2021 and updated in 2022. Dr. Kleinberg teaches courses in International Politics and International law at UNCW. She has provided negotiations training to the United States Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) since 2010 and as CEO of Conflict Management Strategies, LLC (http://www.conflictmanagementstrategies.org/), she provides specialized training and instruction for government, military and private sector clients, facilitates intercultural negotiation strategies, regional civil-military relations and offers courses in strategic communications, intelligence analysis and international/ regional conflict dynamics.
Apart from her academic and international pursuits, Dr. Kleinberg hosted the show “The World at Large” which won the 2009 National Telly Silver Award and 2012 National Telly Bronze Award for educational TV.
