Benjamin A. Kempton
NCAA Eligibility Specialist
Ben Kempton holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG), a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Elon University, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW). His research focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&As), strategic decision-making, and competitive dynamics, and exploring how leadership influences M&A outcomes.
At UNCW, Ben served as the NCAA Eligibility Specialist, ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations and supporting student-athletes’ academic success. He also teaches business law at Pitt Community College and has experience mentoring and teaching undergraduate students, developing courses, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Ben has authored two book chapters, presented at academic conferences, and contributed to projects that advance understanding in strategic management and organizational behavior. His approach combines academic rigor with practical insights, providing meaningful learning experiences for students.
