Jason Jennette
Lecturer
Jason went to college at Mercer University in Macon, Ga, starting as an Engineering Major, but quickly changing to Computer Science and eventually added a Math degree. Upon graduation he immediately went to graduate school in Mercer's School of Engineering, while also working as a programmer and developer for Bibb Company. He then got his first teaching job at his Alma Mater, teaching introduction to computers and software engineering.
Jason then got a job as a contractor working at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, GA, teaching the full MS Office Suite as well as courses in C, C++, Ada, and FORTRAN. With the end of the Air Force contract, Jason moved back to North Carolina where his family is from and started teaching at Cape Fear Community College. While at CFCC, he taught the full Microsoft Office Suite, Visual Basic, Python and C# as well as Systems Analysis and Design and Software Testing.
Jason joined UNCW in Fall of 2023 after spending 16 years teaching all at Cape Fear Community College. At UNCW Jason has continued to teach courses in Programming as well as Discrete Math and is an active member of the Software Engineering Faculty.
