Ashleigh E Huhn

Ashleigh joined the newly formed College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) Academic Resource Center in June 2024. In her role as an Academic Advisor, Ashleigh supports main campus and extension students to understand their degree requirements from major declaration to graduation encouraging them to maximize their time in college, utilize their resources, plan for the future, and reach their goals. She believes deeply in the power and possibility that the liberal arts college education offers within CHSSA at UNCW and loves working with students to explore and create meaning and connections amongst their many interests, academic and otherwise.

Before arriving to Wilmington, Ashleigh served as an Academic Advisor and Retention Specialist Graduate Fellow at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts where she advised first and second year undeclared liberal arts students through the Discover Program while earning her Master of Education in Higher Education.

Her passion for Higher Education and supporting college students began during her own impactful journey as an undergraduate student at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania including experiences in admissions, career services, orientation, student government, Greek Life leadership, academic tutoring, peer mentorship, psychological research, and study abroad.

When Ashleigh is not working, you can find her in search of the best coffee shop in Wilmington, cheering on the Miami Dolphins & any and all women’s sports teams, at the beach, or growing her recently discovered passion for long-distance running.
