Ashleigh E Huhn

Academic Advisor

Ashleigh Huhn is an Academic Advisor and UNI 101 instructor in the Center for Academic Advising at UNC Wilmington, where she supports students in transition as they navigate their academic journeys, connect their interests and goals, and make intentional use of their college experience. Since joining UNCW in June 2024, she has served as an Academic Advisor in the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) and previously as an Academic Advisor and Retention Specialist at Merrimack College while earning her M.Ed. in Higher Education.

Her approach to advising and teaching is grounded in a commitment to holistic student development and exploration, with an emphasis on helping students recognize connections among their academic experiences, interests, and future goals. Through both individual advising and the UNI 101 classroom, she enjoys helping students build the skills, confidence, and sense of direction needed to navigate the transition to college and make intentional choices about their experiences.

A graduate of Susquehanna University, Ashleigh’s passion for higher education and academic advising was shaped by meaningful undergraduate experiences in leadership, mentorship, experiential learning, and student support. These experiences continue to inform how she approaches her work with students today.

When Ashleigh is not working, you can find her in search of the best coffee shop in Wilmington, cheering on the Miami Dolphins & any and all women’s sports teams, at the beach, or growing her recently discovered passion for long-distance running and very amateur sprint triathlons.
