Meana C. Hastings

Meana joined the department of mathematics and statistics at UNCW as a full time lecturer in the Fall of 2024. Before that she worked as a Lecturer and part-time lecturer for the department of mathematics and statistics at UNC-Charlotte from 2008-2024 where she was coordinator for college algebra and pre-calculus. Meana also taught part-time for the mathematics department at UNCW from 2019-2021. She was also a part-time university supervisor for the college of education at UNC-Charlotte from 2011-2013. Meana has also worked a private school in Raleigh, NC as the director of middle school from 2000-2005 and at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte NC from 2006-2009. At the start of her career, she worked as a math teacher in high schools in Raleigh and Charlotte NC.
