Courtney Harding is a Wilmington, NC–based professional with a strong commitment to community engagement and lifelong learning. She serves as the Operations Coordinator at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she brings organization, creativity, and a collaborative spirit to her work within the Watson College of Education.
With an academic background in theatre education, Courtney spent nine years teaching high school theatre, primarily within the New Hanover County Schools district. Her passion for arts education continues to thrive through her ongoing involvement in the Wilmington community, where she remains active in local theatre. The worlds of education and theatre have long provided Courtney with meaningful spaces to connect, create, and support others, and she brings that same sense of purpose to her work at UNCW.

In her role as Operations Coordinator in the Watson College of Education, Courtney supports a wide range of academic and administrative functions. Her responsibilities include:
- Assisting with scholarship assignments and related processes
- Supporting faculty with curriculum proposals and academic documentation
- Providing operational and behind‑the‑scenes coordination for the college’s growing Online Accelerated Programs (OAP)
- Contributing to the smooth functioning of departmental initiatives through organization, communication, and logistical support
Courtney’s background in theatre — a field that demands adaptability, precision, and teamwork — informs her approach to operations, allowing her to navigate complex tasks with creativity and care.
Community Engagement
Courtney remains deeply connected to the Wilmington arts community. Her backstage and production support at Thalian Hall spans multiple organizations, such as Thalian Association, Opera House Theatre Company, and Big Dawg Theatre Company.
Through these roles, Courtney fosters artistic expression, supports youth and adult performers, and contributes to the vibrancy of Wilmington’s cultural landscape. Her commitment to community is central to her identity, and she values the opportunities that both education and theatre provide to build meaningful connections.
