David Glew

Assoc Dean

David Glew is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs in the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. David was born and raised in California on the San Francisco peninsula. He attended Brigham Young University and received a bachelor’s degree in human resources in 1991 and a master’s degree in organizational behavior in 1993. In 1999, David received a Ph.D. in management from Texas A&M University. He joined UNCW in 2003 after teaching in the business school at The University of Tulsa for five years. David received tenure at UNCW and was promoted to associate professor in 2009. He served as the Chair of the Department of Management from 2011 to 2015 and has served as Associate Dean since 2015. David’s research in pedagogy, personal values, and organizations has been published in a variety of academic and practitioner journals. His teaching has been recognized at three different universities, most recently at UNCW with the MBA Excellence in Teaching Award in 2020 and the UNCW Excellence in Online Education Award in 2026. David teaches MBA and undergraduate courses in management, negotiation, and organizational behavior. He is an MBTI Certified Practitioner, a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, and is certified in the use of the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI).
