Sarah Louise Gilbert

Student Success Advisor

Sarah Gilbert, a native of North Carolina, is a two-time graduate of the University of North Carolina Wilmington, earning her degrees in 2007 and 2011. She began her career in Student Affairs, serving as the Assistant Director for Seahawk Adventures and later as the Assistant Director for Seahawk Fitness within Campus Recreation.
In 2018, she transitioned to a faculty role within the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences (SHAHS), where she has taught a variety of WPA/L courses, including Weightlifting, Group Fitness, Adapted Fitness, Yoga, and Aquafit. In 2024, she expanded her teaching portfolio to include EXS 201, a course designed to support students pursuing interests in Group Fitness Instruction.
Sarah currently provides academic support to a caseload of undergraduate students on UNCW’s main campus.
