Anastasiya V. Ferrell

Associate Professor

Anastasiya (Nastia) Ferrell joined the SON faculty in 2019 after serving as a health educator consultant and health policy specialist for the Health Policy and Tobacco Control Office within the Florida Department of Health and working as a tobacco cessation facilitator and tobacco treatment specialist at the University of Florida College of Medicine Area Health Education Center.

Population and community health nursing have become a major calling in Ferrell’s career. Her public health work ranged from advocacy for tobacco control to tobacco prevention and cessation.

Ferrell earned her BSN and PhD from the University of Florida.
