Research Interests
We are studying protein structure and function, via protein X-ray crystallography, enzymology and computational simulation. We are interested in metabolic enzymes and their "part-time jobs" when interacting with other proteins in the context of breast cancer and Alzheimer's Disease where cell signaling network can be dysregulated. Proteins are fascinating molecules and we are curious about their structures, their dynamics, and how they interact with each other in those important signaling pathways so that we have the knowledge to regulate their function, their interactions to help the cells restore their normal regulation.
