Caitie Connor

Academic Advisor

Caitie Connor is an academic advisor for the College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts (CHSSA) at UNCW. In this role, she advises undergraduate students majoring in Communication Studies, English, Music, and Theatre.
Before joining UNCW, Caitie worked as a dual enrollment advisor at Cape Fear Community College, assisting New Hanover County high school students, and as an Academic Advisor at Cape Fear Community College, serving a range of students in various transfer, pre-health, and career and technical education programs. In addition to her academic advising experience, she has also worked as an elementary school counselor, admissions counselor, adjunct instructor, and college adviser. She has greatly enjoyed her career in supporting students across the K-12 and higher education landscapes. Her certifications in career coaching and clinical mental health counseling allow her to advise students holistically and intentionally within CHSSA, as they consider not only their undergraduate course selections but also their long-term goals, values, and overall well-being.
