Educational Technology Specialist

Amber Colón is an experienced educator and educational technology leader based in Wilmington, North Carolina. She currently serves as an Educational Technology Specialist at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, a role she has held since August 2022, where she supports faculty in designing engaging, technology-enhanced learning experiences.

Amber brings ten years of classroom teaching experience in Brunswick and New Hanover County schools, grounding her work in strong pedagogy and practical instructional design. Her professional interests include instructional and educational technology integration, and collaborative leadership to support effective teaching and learning.

She earned a Master of Science in Educational/Instructional Technology from UNC Wilmington in December 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching from UNC Wilmington, completed in 2013.

Through both in-person and online platforms, I connect educators with practical tools, creative strategies, and reflective practices that strengthen teaching and learning.
