Barbara Biehner

Assistant Professor of Practice

Prior to arriving in Wilmington, Barb spent over 3 decades in healthcare administration at various types of hospitals and healthcare systems. Her positions ranged from Vice President to Chief Executive Officer She has also served at the Board level for various community and healthcare related organizations. Her successes include creating partnerships, Centers of Excellence, alternate sites, operations reengineering, as well as orchestrate a hospital turnaround. She is a Fellow in the American Health Care Executives.
Prior to joining CHHS in 2021, Barb became an Executive in Residence at the UNCW Cameron School of Business in 2006 and taught Healthcare Supply Chain, Ethics in Healthcare and Marketing. She also assumed responsibilities to develop the Cameron Executive Network program and the construction of the CIS building.
