Ana Asua

Senior Lecturer

I was born and raised in the Basque Country, Spain. Before moving to the United States, I lived, studied, and worked in Spain, France, and England. Since 2014, I have been a full-time faculty member in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at UNCW. I currently teach in the Online Accelerated Program (OAP), where I focus on Spanish for healthcare professionals. I have also designed and taught an online Spanish course for Social Work. My passion for online education continues to grow, and each year I serve as a Quality Matters reviewer for UNCW’s Excellence in Online Education Award. In addition to online instruction, I enjoy teaching in-person introductory and intermediate Spanish courses.
