Elaine Andrews

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from St. John’s University in New York, I relocated to Wilmington in 1994 to pursue expanded professional opportunities and an enhanced quality of life.

I began my career with Johnson & Higgins (now Marsh Inc.), where I specialized in Political Risk Insurance for multinational corporations. In 2000, I became a partner of South Beach Grill, a well-established restaurant on Wrightsville Beach. As Chief Financial Officer, I oversee all financial operations, including financial contracts, tax reporting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and human resources.

In 2009, I returned to academia to pursue a Master’s Degree in Accountancy from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Following graduation, I served as Finance Director for the Wilmington Convention Center. After leaving the Convention Center, I continued my career as an accounting consultant, providing financial and accounting services to multiple private firms and nonprofit organizations. In 2015, I served as President of the Wilmington Rotary Club.

I currently serve as an Adjunct Professor of Managerial Accounting and Marketing at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and continue in my role as Chief Financial Officer at South Beach Grill.
