The PARS was founded by UNCW students dedicated to the study of philosophy, religion and discussing scholarly topics from all fields of study.

The Philosophy and Religion Society is a community of shared interests:
We sponsor regular lectures and discussions on a wide array of topics philosophy and religion, very broadly construed, and encourage intellectual engagement
beyond the classroom. Everyone is invited to attend our events, and you don't have to be a major in Philosophy or Religion to help organize events or be an officer.

Attend Our Discussions

Every other Wednesday at 6:30pm, we bring in a knowledgeable expert to discuss a different topic – typically a presentation of 20-30 minutes, followed by open Q&A and discussion.
