Do you have a child who loves video games? UNCW’s Watson College of Education and UNCW Esports are gearing up to offer two Gaming and STEM based camps for students age 8-14 this summer.

The summer camps, designed to build on the success of UNCW’s Esports Club and their growing community engagement initiatives, will be offered as one-week on-campus programs. The camps will offer a fun and environment for children who enjoy Minecraft, Fortnite, Coding for Beginners and Drone Racing, among other programs.

The Watson and UNCW Esports are working to finalize details for the inaugural summer camps, and plan for future educational gaming and stem initiatives. If you are interested, and would like to receive more information as details about these programs are finalized, please fill out the UNCW Esports Summer Program Pre-Application.

About Esports at UNCW

UNCW introduced the Seahawk Esports Club in 2019 to bring together a community to learn, play and teach electronic sports. The club is now home to more than 500 members and seven competitive teams that participate in state and national tournaments. The Esports Club hosts weekly game nights for UNCW students. Large intramural tournaments open to UNCW students and the community are also held each semester. For more information visit the esports website.
