The College of Health and Human Services is pleased to announce that Kelley Henderson will assume the role of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, effective July 1.
Henderson brings a wealth of experience in academic leadership, program development, and student success. She currently serves as Department Chair and Program Director for the Athletic Training program at Duquesne University, where she oversees curriculum, accreditation, and assessment while leading faculty development and strategic growth initiatives. Earlier in Henderson’s career, she held leadership and faculty roles at the University of West Florida, Nova Southeastern University, and Texas Christian University, building and advancing athletic training programs and fostering strong student outcomes.
She earned her Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida Gulf Coast University, along with a Master of Education in Health Promotions from Northwestern State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education/Sports Injury Management from the University of South Alabama. Henderson is also an accomplished scholar and educator, with a strong record of publications, presentations, and national professional service.
“Henderson’s deep experience in academic program leadership and her commitment to excellence in teaching and student success make her an outstanding addition to our College,” Dean Jack Watson said. “I am confident she will play a key role in advancing our academic mission and supporting our students and faculty.”
