In 2024, the University of North Carolina Wilmington, New Hanover County Schools, Cape Fear Community College and the Greater Wilmington Chamber of Commerce received a three-year investment of $22.3 million from The Endowment to form the New Hanover Healthcare Career Partnership, aligning educators and employers around shared strategies for strengthening nursing pathways.
