UNCW held three ceremonies during its fall 2023 commencement exercises on Dec. 15-16, graduating approximately 2,550 students (1,769 undergraduate, 759 master’s and 18 doctoral). All ceremonies took place in Trask Coliseum.
"As you lift off from UNCW and fly toward a new year and new opportunities, I challenge you to pursue your next set of goals with the same determination that you applied to earning your degree," Chancellor Aswani K. Volety told the graduates.

Saturday, Dec. 16 at 9 a.m.
Cameron School of Business
Speaker: Maurice R. Smith ’79, Attorney and Counselor at Law, M Smith Law PLLC
Saturday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m.
College of Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts and the College of Science and Engineering
Speaker: Clyde Edgerton, Thomas S. Kenan III Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing, UNCW
