UNCW’s student-athletes continue to perform well in the classroom, according to the NCAA’s latest Graduation Success Rate, the governing body’s most accurate tool that analyzes the academic progression of student-athletes. 
 
According to figures released early Thursday by the governing body, UNCW’s 19 intercollegiate teams achieved a GSR of 89 percent.  
 
“We’re extremely proud of the work being completed by our student-athletes, especially during these challenging times,” said Jimmy Bass, UNCW’s 10-year athletic director. “We’ve had an outstanding track record of terrific work in the classroom. It’s clear our student-athletes have their sights set on a bright future.”
