The UNCW Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid is offering assistance to students, families, and to those in the greater Wilmington community with the preparation of the Free Application for Financial Student Aid for the 2021-22 financial aid filing season, which opens Oct. 1.

From Oct. 1 to Oct. 13, the office will be open virtually from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays to assist with FAFSA preparation. This assistance is available to all students, even if they plan to attend a different university. Those interested can join virtual office hours or email a financial aid counselor to schedule an appointment.

New applicants who plan to submit the FAFSA online must first create a Federal Student Aid ID at StudentAid.gov. Each school has its own deadlines and schedule for awarding financial aid. Applicants are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as early as possible while aid is available.
