Randall Library Roof Being Replaced Beginning May 13; Building Will Remain Open

Friday, May 10, 2019

Starting Monday, May 13, workers will begin installing a new roof on Randall Library. The project is expected to last six weeks and the library will be operational throughout this time.

Roofers are scheduled to work seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting. The roof will be replaced in portions and Randall staff members will do their best to communicate about which part of the roof is being worked on. Areas of the second floor may be blocked off at times.

Additionally, the first-floor rear restrooms are being renovated and additional ductwork is being installed in the Special Collections area. The library’s main entrance should not be affected during this time, but when/if crews are working over that area, alternative routes will be provided.

Physical and digital signage, the library website and social media will be updated to provide project updates.

Please note the library will be closed for a staff work day on Friday, May 17 and on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day. The library’s hours of operation can be found here.

Your patience and flexibility during this improvement is appreciated.
