The Media Production team in UNCW’s Office of University Relations has collected two more Telly Awards, recognizing their outstanding work amongst a record-breaking number of entries.

In the “General-Motivational for Non-Broadcast category,” the team won a Bronze Telly Award for “UNCW Alumni Look Back on 70 Years,” a piece featuring UNCW alumni reflecting on the fond memories they experienced while on campus. Bradley served as producer of the piece. Krista McKinney served as editor and cinematographer and Bradley Pearce assisted with cinematography. The Office of University Relations worked in close collaboration with the Division for University Advancement and Alumni Relations to find and share these compelling stories.

“It’s always a great honor to be recognized for your hard work,” said Bradley. “Our team is particularly proud of these awards because it further promotes our great university and all of the incredible things we have accomplished over our 70 years.”

The OUR Media Production team highlights the academic and institutional achievements of the university via video production, still photography and multimedia campaigns. Their work can be viewed throughout the university and community as well as via the team’s Vimeo page.

Last year, the team was honored with three Tellys, a Bronze Telly in the category of public interest/awareness for “I Can Do It, You Can Do It;” a People’s Telly Award for “A Holiday Message from Chancellor Jose V. Sartarelli;” and a Telly in the recruitment category for a video showcasing the UNCW Department of Music.

For 39 years, the Telly Awards have recognized the best in cable TV programming, as well as online, video and film productions. The Telly Awards receive more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents. Noted Telly recipients include CNBC, Comcast, Conde Nast Entertainment, Discovery and Showtime Networks.

The awards reflect the institution's continued pursuit of excellence, a key priority outlined in UNCW’s Strategic Plan.
