Southeastern North Carolina is under a flash flood watch through 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29. As we have seen already today, heavy rain is possible over UNCW, however, the predominant amount of rain is expected to be west of New Hanover County.

UNCW students, faculty and staff should continue to monitor the National Weather Service website and local news media for updated information.

Be mindful of your safety, especially when driving at night.
