UNCW, in cooperation with our on- and off-campus partners, is monitoring tropical weather conditions in the Atlantic Ocean. Tropical storm Julia has been downgraded to a depression. However, the National Weather Service indicates that there is a high risk of rip currents along our coastline as the depression lingers off the coast of South Carolina through Saturday.

Please remember to be safe at the beach. Stay out of the water as directed by signage and safety personnel.
