UNCW is excited to welcome past and present Seahawks to our annual Family and Alumni Weekend celebration Sept. 23 to 25. This year, a variety of reunions, movies, concerts and other activities are planned for Seahawks to enjoy with their parents, guardians, grandparents, siblings and family friends.

Check-in begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 23 in Fisher University Union. Event tickets and t-shirts will be available for pick up and purchase. Event highlights include:

Friday, Sept. 23
Class of 1966 50-Year Reunion
6 p.m.
Reunion dinner at the Wise Alumni House celebrating the Wilmington College Class of 1966.

Music Department Alumni Concert & Reception
7:30 p.m. UNCW Cultural Arts Building
An evening featuring a concert by Department of Music alumni and faculty, followed by a dessert reception in the grand lobby. Tickets are $15 for UNCW alumni, parents, faculty and staff with the reception immediately following the concert. All tickets are general seating.

Saturday, Sept. 24
Golden Wing Society Reunion
50 years or greater alumni - Classes of 1949-1966
10:30-11:30 a.m. - Reunion Brunch
11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. - Guided Campus Trolley Tour
Join fellow Wilmington College classmates from the classes of 1949-1966 for brunch. Reminisce with friends over fond memories of college days and stay for a guided trolley tour of the UNCW campus.

UNCW Alumni & Family Day at the Beach
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wrightsville Beach
A fun day at Wrightsville Beach access #36, near the Crystal Pier. The Alumni Association will provide complimentary snacks and beach games. A local musician will play relaxing tunes for winding down with friends and classmates. A complimentary trolley to and from the beach will be available. Parking for the trolley pick-up and drop-off is on campus by the tennis courts in Lot K Extension (next to Trask Coliseum). Wear a UNCW t-shirt; the wearer of the “most vintage” shirt will receive a UNCW beach chair.

Legacy Pinning Ceremony
4 - 5:30 p.m. Lumina Theater, Fisher Student Center
Legacy students (current students with a parent, grandparent or sibling who have attended UNCW) are invited to join us for a pinning ceremony to commemorate making UNCW a family tradition. Refreshments will be served.

The UNCW Bookstore will offer extended hours and be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

This year, FAW has gone mobile. Participants can download the UNCW Family and Alumni Weekend mobile app from the Apple App or Google Play store to plan their day with a personalized schedule, reminders, maps and other pertinent information.
