The University of North Carolina Wilmington has the 10th most affordable accredited Master of Social Work program among universities in the East, according to a new ranking from the online source Best Social Work Programs.
“In today's world, students are seeking high quality educational experiences at an affordable price point,” said Dr. Charles Hardy, Dean of the UNCW College of Health and Human Services. “We are pleased that the MSW program within our School of Social Work is viewed as an excellent value.”
Best Social Work Programs compared tuition and fees as reported by the National Center for Education Statistics, as well as accreditation information from the Council on Social Work Education. The 50 programs with the lowest published graduate tuition and fees were then ranked.
“MSW graduates have a wide range of career options available to them in many fields,” said Stacey Kolomer, who will become director of the School of Social Work July 1 and who has been serving as interim director since July 2015. “At UNCW, students interested in pursuing a social work career have access to an excellent and affordable program.”
