Registration Open for Seminars with Nonprofit Marketing Expert Kivi Leroux Miller
Tuesday, February 02, 2016
Quality Enhancement for Nonprofit Organizations (QENO) at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is hosting two seminars with Kivi Leroux Miller, a national nonprofit marketing guru.
The first session, to be held Monday, Feb. 29, is designed for nonprofit staff and those who manage direct marketing. Participants will learn about the keys to developing a successful donor communications strategy and have the opportunity to sketch out a donor communications plan for 2016.
On Tuesday, March 1, nonprofit staff and board members are invited to learn how they can most effectively market and fundraise without directly asking for money. The session will include tips on how to tell three different kinds of inspirational and motivational stories used in fundraising.
Leroux Miller is president of NonprofitMarketingGuide.com and author of The Nonprofit Marketing Guide: High-Impact, Low-Cost Ways to Build Support for Your Good Cause. She has presented to thousands of nonprofit organizations on a variety of marketing topics across the country.
“QENO is excited to bring in a nationally recognized expert in nonprofit communications to help our nonprofits create a strategy for donor relations and community outreach,” said QENO Director Natasha Davis. “Our nonprofits are doing amazing things and many people do not know about it. This workshop is one step that we are taking to change that.”
Founded in 2006, QENO is a partnership of UNCW, civic leaders, funding organizations and community groups with the goal of increasing philanthropy in Southeastern North Carolina and enhancing the strengths of nonprofit boards and leaders.
Registration for the seminars is open through Feb. 25.
