About Visions Film Festival & Conference

Hosted by the Film Studies Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Visions is the only peer-reviewed, undergraduate joint film festival and conference. This unique pairing offers the opportunity for both burgeoning filmmakers and scholars to showcase their work in a supportive environment. Visions is designed, managed, programmed, produced and presented by undergraduate students for undergraduate students.

By recognizing both scholar and filmmaker, Visions unites an international community of students within the film world by presenting films that speak to our passion for imaginative, fearless and visionary films.
