Friday, August 28, 2015
UNCW is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Erika in partnership with the National Weather Service office in Wilmington, N.C. Current storm projections indicate Erika is not expected to impact the Cape Fear region over the weekend. The Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) will continue to work with local, state and federal agencies to track the storm’s progress and additional information will be shared with the campus community as warranted.
As you plan for the remainder of hurricane season, which ends Nov. 30, take time to review the EH&S emergency preparedness brochure and other resources about hurricanes and severe weather.
