WEATHER ALERT: UNCW's Main Campus to Reopen at 10a on Weds, Onslow Extension Site CLOSED

UNCW will reopen and be fully operational at 10a on Wednesday, Feb. 25, with classes, events, campus services and faculty/staff schedules resuming per usual at that time.  ** UNCW's Onslow Extension Site is closed; any classes that require a physical presence at Onslow Extension Site are canceled on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Students who participate in distance education classes originating from Onslow should contact instructors regarding potential cancellations of virtual classes.**

Wagoner Dining Hall will open at 7a on Wednesday. All other campus service locations, including Randall Library and the Student Rec Center, will resume normal operating hours when the campus reopens at 10a. Before departing for a campus service location, please check the UNCW homepage for any changes in service hours.

Faculty and staff should not report to campus before 10a unless their supervisors have indicated otherwise. As of 10a, when the university reopens, faculty and staff should operate under the Adverse Weather policy, which can be accessed via Please contact your supervisor with any questions or concerns. Students who will be absent from classes scheduled at 10a or later due to weather conditions should contact their instructors. Information regarding make-up classes will be distributed when available.

UNCW is working hard to normalize conditions,  but when walking on campus, please exercise caution as there may be icy areas on walkways, steps, footbridges, etc. Drive carefully on and around campus, and do not enter or park in areas that are barricaded.

UNCW expects this to be the last message regarding this winter weather event as it pertains to the MAIN campus. However, as always, UNCW faculty, staff and students should monitor **their UNCW email inboxes** and the UNCW website, should any developments warrant additional updates.
